Here is a brief but interesting bio on Andy Williams at The Telegraph. Moon River, which was William’s signature song, was written by Henry Mancini for the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

    “Happy Holiday/The Holiday Season” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” are always on my iPod, even if I only listen to them once or twice a year. The latter was used humorously in a back-to-school ad for Staples. It seems that some parents are not all that broken up about their children heading back to school (or have a dark sense of humor, like myself.)

    “So hoop-dee-doo and dickory-dock
    And don’t forget to hang up you sock”

    That’s sheer, bloody poetry.
