What I understand about this story at NPR is that it is an advance for Moogfest, the gathering of Moog synthesizer adherents that is set for Asheville, N.C., on Oct. 26 and 27.

The rest is quite confusing. That figures, of course, because the music is as well. Truth be told, the story is comprehensible, but Moog music certainly is a whole different animal. Here is a link to a documentary about Bob Moog.
