Howlin’ Wolf: Sitting on Top of the World

It looks like a Howlin’ Wolf concert was a pretty intense experience.

Here are a couple of biographies. Discographies are here and here.  An interesting look at bands and artists who covered him — and songs he did by others — is available at The Covers Project. The latter includes Sitting on Top of the World, which Wikipedia credits to Walter Vinson and Lonnie Chatmon, of the Mississippi Sheiks. Its version is great.

Here are Smokestack Lighting and Spoonful, the other most well known Howlin’ Wolf songs.

    Hi Carl,
Nice music break, with a little history and nostalgia, on a busy day.
    Thanks
